Synopsis:
Alleyah has been noticing that the leaders of her city are no longer in control of the weather. The Core’s machine has been successfully running since before she was born, so what has changed in the city?
When her school day ends with fellow students being snatched away and thrown in to vans, Alleyah tries her best to escape the torturous grips of a new threat.
Facing constant danger and learning about her new abilities, Alleyah and her new friends struggle to make sense of a world where they are in control of its elements.
How can she find safety in a world where she can’t even control her own powers?
