For Patricia Hudson.
Wrinkles from smiles
from years of memories.
A grandma by name
who is more than a friend to me.
–
She is kind and caring
and shares her wisdom
with unconditional love,
we’re proud to be her grandchildren.
–
When I was ill as a kid,
it was a day spent at Grandma’s.
I’d get better so soon,
still believe in her magical powers.
–
All grown up now,
we show our appreciation too late,
so I hope she knows
she helped make our childhoods great.
–
She is loved and cherished
like the memories we hold.
Family is the most important thing,
it’s what we’ve always been told.
If I can do it as gracefully as her
I do not fear growing old.
